Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about RECD and emission compliance.

What is a Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD)?

A Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) is an advanced filtration system installed on diesel generators to reduce harmful emissions including particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and carbon monoxide (CO). It helps DG sets comply with CPCB environmental standards.

Is RECD installation mandatory in India?

Yes, as per CPCB guidelines GSR 371(E) and GSR 771(E), all diesel generators operating in India must comply with emission standards. RECD installation is mandatory for DG sets that don’t meet Phase I or Phase II emission norms.

What is the installation process and timeline?

The installation process typically takes 2-5 days depending on DG capacity. It includes: 1) Site assessment, 2) RECD system installation, 3) Integration with exhaust system, 4) Performance testing, 5) Emission testing and certification. We provide complete documentation and CPCB compliance certificates.

What maintenance is required for RECD systems?

Our RECD systems are designed for low maintenance. Typical maintenance includes periodic filter cleaning (every 6-12 months depending on usage), visual inspections, and annual emission testing. We offer comprehensive AMC packages with 24×7 technical support.
